Where were you when the Machines Ruled Earth?

The Peanut Gallery over at jolly ol' iBankCoin.com is already nostalgic* about yesterday's freaking meltdown (Hot Molten Maaaag-mah).

So where were you when the shit hit the fan?

Before that moment, I was in a hotel room chilling out (air conditioning is a gift from God), falling asleep just as the market opened. It was about 3 or 4 a.m. Hawaii time. I noticed FAS petering out and FAZ starting to launch ...

I got up from around 8:30 a.m. Hawaii time. By then, my screens looked like Vegas one-armed bandits pumped with speed pills, cases of Jolt and crack. At some point, I gave up the idea of surrendering my long shares of AAPL. Holding IMAX wasn't hard; it didn't really dive-bomb like the rest. (Today's a different story, though.)

So there. I saw it, it freaked me out a bit, and it bounced back. All while I was far from home, sitting in my underwear with a DO NOT DISTURB tag on my doorknob, watching CNBC on a 1990s-era TV.

How about you?
