Brew Review: Erdinger Hefe-Weizen

Erdinger Hefe-Weizen (Germany)
Appearance (0 to 4 stars): 3. No different than Budweiser or Coors. Lot of foam out of the bottle.
Aroma: 2. Tart and bitter.
Flavor: 2. Tasted like a domestic beer, tangy, bitter, good with salsa and chips.
Texture: 2. Lots of fizz.
Drinkability: 2. Good for hot days, not much else.
Overall score: 11.

Cost: $3, 1 pint, 9 oz.
On the label: I'll do this later.

Summary: Have to say, the German/Scandinavian brews like Spaten and Erdinger are disappointing. I suppose I expect a rich, smooth beer from them, and I really shouldn't categorize all their brew that way. Erdinger sat next to Spaten on the shelf at Star Market. Maybe this isn't fair, but Erdinger tasted like something out of a green bottle (Heineken, Elephant, Pilsner). Erdinger is in a brown bottle.
